Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we developed a new CONTACTLESS technology to dispense water without pressing any buttons, reducing the risk of virus transmission by touch. Time to renew the vonTaine domestic purifier. From ProMinent’s research comes the Prosit project: combining reverse osmosis, microfiltration, an additional activated carbon filter, and a 4-watt UV lamp that prevents back-contamination.

Our story began with a domestic water purifier based on reverse osmosis technology.
Professor Viktor Dulger (founder of ProMinent GmbH), his Italian partner Dr. Ivo Calabrò, and the current CEO Dr. Cristiano Ferrari foresaw the importance of offering families a highly advanced domestic water purifier—without the inconvenience of complex installation, which often discourages purchase.

Thus, vonTaine was born—a name that, when read in German, sounds like “Fonten”, evoking a fountain, and at the same time enhanced by the noble-sounding prefix “von”.
